OPEN FIREFIGHTER POSITIONS

The Limestone Township Fire Protection District is accepting applications for the position of firefighter. This is a volunteer position.
This position requires heavy to extensive physical work.
Requirements of a Limestone Firefighter:
- 2 hours district training per month (Offered on Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings)
- 24 hours additional training per year (Offered throughout the year)
- Minimum response to 10% of the emergency calls we receive per month (Average 1050 per year)
Limestone is a 100% volunteer fire department that provides Fire & Rescue services to the residents living in Limestone Township and Southern Kickapoo Township. Applicants must live within the or within 2.5 miles of the fire district. Limestone provides advanced training to members including:
- Firefighter II Certification
- EMT-B
- CPR & First Aid
